Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons as tight-ends within the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends of all time and has the NFL record for most receiving yards among all tight ends. He is third in all time for the amount of receptions.

Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End now works as an FOX Sport Studio analyst. Gonzalez was a guest in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame program preceding FOX NFL the SUNRISE) and is broadcast each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET through the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring from the NFL following 2013 was not true. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth $14,000,000. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader of active receiving yards for the final time in his career.
